“Flori Marquez, co-founder of BlockFi claims that going into 2020, the main driver of increase in crypto investment will be Fear of Missing out (FOMO) created due to the upcoming events.”
BlockFi’s co-founder Flori Marquez in an interview with Yahoo Finance claimed that it has been a huge year for crypto as it has reached every mainstream media and a year of institutional adoption. Going into 2020, the main driver of increase in crypto investment will be Fear of Missing out (FOMO) created due to the upcoming events.
BlockFi was founded in 2017 and provides crypto credit services to the market. As per the co-founder BlockFi has seen an extensive growth over the years starting from 10,000 clients the first year to 500,000 clients this year. Also, Bitcoin’s ROI this year is around 120% whereas Gold and S&P provided negative returns.
According to Marquez, there are three factors that will create FOMO in the crypto markets and in turn will derive huge crypto investments in 2022. Firstly, during the holiday season people are going to talk about crypto and its high yield generating capabilities, secondly there is going to be a recycling of talent as many people are going to change their jobs due to pandemic and crypto industry is a lucrative working sphere at the moment, thirdly there is going to be a regulatory clarity on crypto in 2022. These three factors will definitely pave a path for the FOMO and more investors to join the crypto space in 2022, she said.
